Blessing in disguise

Around 20 yrs ago from the day I'm publishing this article there was huge growth in Engineering colleges all over India.

It was a running joke in the community that if a threw a rock on a group of 10 young people your chances of hitting an engineer were 70%.

It raised particularly 2 important question:

1-What are the standard of academics in these institutions?

2-Are there enough jobs available in the country to employ those students who graduate successfully?

To answer the first question,I would like to point to the fact that standards vary for all educational institution. But even if it is low these kid have to come from a schooling system where they would have to read-Physics,Chemistry,Maths and Computers for 12th class electives. You can argue about the school standard education but atleast they must have passed these subjects in any respectable board be it national or statewise. That itself introduces analytical thinking in a student. That is so critical for a developing country like India where we don't have developed economic growth and it is to be constructed with these young individuals as base. I'm not degrading any other profession but don't you think to build a country with a strong foundation Engineers and Scientists are the most valuable.

To answer the second question it is important we don't follow the ideology that jobs will be provided to us in a country with such a big population and which itself is a vast and varied demography. This is exactly what helped us in creating those unicorn companies that you keep hearing about every now and then. This change in the collective social attitude of the country has brought a massive change in the economy and the livelihood of the people too.The change has started from being job seekers to job providers. And these very engineers are providing their expertise to other countries too.

So we indians are on the right trajectory...

The One True Game

You might have heard about the UFC(Ultimate Fighting Championship). When people say they have defeated or beat their opponent in any competetive sports they are explaining you figuratively can be individual sports or a team event. But when you say that in the context combat sports you have literally defeated your opponent. Because there are only 2 ways for your opponent to loose. Either you edge out your opponents on a scoring system compiled as per the judges or your opponent is removed from conciuosness(Knockout/Submission). When you have to literally beat or defeat you opponent to win in combat sports, that's why I argue it to be the purest form of sports. Now in combat sports if you ask why only the UFC because it's a mixed martial arts tournament. Boxing,Muay Thai,Wrestling,Jiu Jitsu etc. tournaments focus on only one style of combat. India you can catch all the action on Sony Network/Sony Liv app.

The Freedom we Indians talk about....

The mind is truly free when we are free from any kind of fear that holds us back from achieving any thing that we want in our lives respectively. Today marks the 75th year of independence for India. I'm sure today each one of you would have planned a great day ahead for yourselves and your family. I just request you as a reader that please in the whole day of 24hrs time please spare some thought for the unfortunate in India. Maybe someone you know or some one economically weaker in your society can use a helping hand please do that. Now I'm sure you all must have the high flying 'Tiranga' our national flag at top of your homes. Because we as a species are sentimental about the land which we think to be ours. For example any country is very particular with their borders and LOC they have. You must be wondering what it has to do with our national flag, well for starters you can use these as demarcation of Indian territories at border areas.  Again you all must be wonderin...
